An Autumn Evening with Sammi & TJ
There’s something magical about autumn evenings in the countryside. The light softens, the air cools just enough to make you lean closer to the one you love, and the world seems to slow down for a moment.
Sammi and TJ’s mini session took place in the middle of a quiet little paddock, just as the sun began its slow descent. The sky turned that dreamy shade of gold that all photographers wait all day for, the kind of light that wraps around you like a warm hug.
They didn’t need much direction. The evening unfolded naturally and TJ led the way.
There were cuddles and quiet snuggles as they sank into the grass, wrapped up in that peaceful end-of-day glow. Fingers intertwined as they walked slowly through the paddock, pausing every now and then just to soak it all in.
At one point they lay back and watched the clouds drift by, pointing out shapes and laughing at the ones that made no sense at all, a quiet reminder of how beautifully simple moments can be.
These are the kinds of memories that don’t shout for attention. They live in the small details: the way they squeeze each others hands, the way they lean into each other without thinking, the shared smiles and tickles when nothing even needs to be said.
That’s what this session was really about.
Not perfect poses or big gestures, but the little in-between moments that sum up their mum and son relationship ever-so perfectly.
